Destination weddings are ones we love documenting. We get the opportunity to spend a few days getting to know that couples who have entrusted us with one of the most important days of their lives and most importantly we're able to bond and build relationships with the families who have molded them to who they are. We met Jelynn and James through Nicole and Rene Abalos of N Compass Cinema. Jelynn is cousins of Nicole and through the year their wedding plans had changed from Hawaii to Palm Springs. The moment we met them we knew we'd get along. Their love of wine, food, and good coffee gravitated to our own appreciation of the same culture. Not to mention we just couldn't stop laughing during our video consultation. It was an instant connection.

Jelynn and James soon became like family to us. We flew in a day before their wedding to photograph their rehearsal dinner, spent the morning of their wedding shooting portraits at sun rise to avoid the heat of the desert, and even jumped into the pool with them while in her gown and he in his suit. This was the wedding that made me realize that the ability to capture moments for my couples meant living the wedding with them.
