There are no words to describe how honored we were to spend the weekend with Mike and Tristan and their family. Who knew that photographing their wedding weekend would not only be one of the best memories we have as photographers, but as people as well. Mike, Tristan, and their beautiful daughter Gabi are from Chicago and their families are from the midwest as well. So this entire weekend was a destination wedding for everyone. The first time we met these two on Skype we were just so excited to be shooting their wedding and rehearsal dinner. We have always wanted to shoot a rehearsal dinner and when they told us they were planning all their festivities in Yountville, CA we were even more excited. Napa became a very special place for the two of them. They fell in love with it on of their first visits and wanted to share it with their family and friends.
Their weekend started with a rehearsal dinner at the wonderful Bottega Ristorante, Chef Michale Chiarello's restaurant. The private dinning room was filled with laughter, good food, and tons of wine. It's moments like these that remind us of the importance of family and why people get together for weddings in the first place. After their rehearsal dinner an after party at the V Wine Cellar with more wine, cheese, and yummy desserts from Kollar Chocolates followed.
