a day in the life of joannathan

HI EVERYONE WELCOME TO OUR BLOG. OUR NAMES ARE JONATHAN AND JOANNE, BEST KNOWN AS JOANNATHAN. WE'RE PHOTOGRAPHERS BASED OUT IN SAN JOSE, CA.

WE LOVE CAPTURING LIFE AS IT HAPPENS, WHETHER ITS YOUR FAMILY SESSION OR YOUR WEDDING, WE'D LOVE TO BE PART OF IT.

Dear Airis + Olivia,

You may not understand why your parents are so whacky.  We couldn’t even give you the answer and well we are your parents.  But we do know is that we love you two girls very much.  You’re the reason why we laugh, cry, smile, and do the crazy things we do.  Just remember Rule #32:  Enjoy the little things!

Love,

Mom + Dad

Our reasons for living!

Olivia Claire Encarnacion was born on February 3, 2010 at 7:48PM.  She weighs 6 lbs and 5 ounces and is 19 inches in length.

The labor wasn’t intense, it wasn’t too hard, but the delivery part was a bit tougher than expected.  Olivia is a little bit bigger than her 5 year old sister at birth.  Airis (Iris) was 5 lbs and 14 ounces and slipped out like a fish, where as Olivia decided that she wanted to be a bit more difficult and required a little bit of vacuum suctioning to get her out.  I was joking when I had mentioned busting out the Dyson vacuum during my labor.

Here are some photos that captured our memorable day.  To relive our day with us check out our slideshow.

Yes SJ Sharkie came to visit me during my labor!! It was definitely memorable!D32_7728D32_7738D32_7741

I love that I have SJ Sharkie as my cheerleader.  Nearly three years ago he made signs to help Jonathan propose to me at the Shark Tank during a game.  Now he’s got a “push” sign for me to help me through my labor and delivery. D32_7752D32_7805D32_7830

They had to use a vacuum suction to get Miss Olivia out since her heart rate was stressed during the two hours of pushing.D32_7836D32_7901D32_7923D32_7941D32_7967D32_7989D32_7998D32_8016D32_8057D32_8072D32_8083

And…so it begins!!  We just got it in the mail today and I’m filled with JOY!!  Our new Instax Mini 25 Hello Kitty Edition ( haha not Jonathan’s first choice of course).

I’ve always had a love for instant photos.  I remember being in high school owning those awesome Polaroid i-Zone Cameras. Since then I’ve been looking for something to replace that love of instant cameras and I found it!!

So here are a few that we’ve taken on the first day!!  Enjoy!!

I just had to edit these photos with more of that nostalgic feel, it only felt right.-6465-EditD31_6474-EditJonathan grabbed the photos of us that we took and he said, “WOW, we’re a family of four…”  In a matter of 4 weeks our baby girl, Olivia, will be joining this crazy bunch.  We can’t wait to meet her and good luck to you Olivia, especially when your dad is walking around with my headbands. Don’t worry brides, he wont have this on at your wedding; unless you ask for it.D31_6479
